Ayrshire Film Company has always had a mission – to use the skills of media production and story telling to bring communities together, develop lifelong skills and unite Ayrshire through pride, partnership and creativity.
As a Community Interest Company (CIC) and Social Enterprise, we run funded projects to develop skills and community workshop spaces as well as developing high quality video production for corporate and other clients.
This means that however you are working with us, you’re supporting young people and others in Ayrshire to gain access to high quality training and support in all aspects of media.

Ayrshire Film Company is part of BFI Film Academy Scotland, a regional Hub for aspiring filmmakers aged 16-25, connecting young people across Scotland with opportunities to develop creative skills, build industry networks, explore career pathways and take part in film activity throughout the year.
The BFI Film Academy Short Course helps ambitious 16–19-year-olds take their first step into the screen industries. You’ll learn core filmmaking skills, create short films and gain insights from working professionals.
The free course includes a recognised qualification, alumni opportunities, and a Scotland wide showcase. No experience needed, just passion.
